Phase II Transition

"Week 1-3. Combat Conditioning and learning about the Marine Corps in classes on General Military Subjects, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), and physical fitness. Here your loved one will be indoctrinated into the Marine culture, Marine corps leadership, and close order drill. This is the hardest three weeks your loved one has probably ever endured as they undergo a transition of "I" to "we.""

Endurance.

That will be one of the keywords and activities of the next 3 weeks! Keeping on keeping on. Just doing it! Just putting one foot in front of the other. Just thinking about and being a marine. Just moving from his home culture to the Marine culture. Moving cross culturally... Caleb has done it before and it is not an easy task.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

Lord, thank you for your promises.
Friends, thank you for your prayers.

  1. Caleb and I have had discussions about how so many people have done this before him and these first three weeks might be excruciating, but it can be done. Just keep moving. He's got this. Prayers sent.

    1. Paul, I believe you were/are a big reason for Caleb making it this far! Thanks for sticking with him this past year.

    2. It was more than a coincidence that our lives crossed paths this past year. I believe that. It was an honor to get to know your son.
